To take a test, first select the subject folder you wish to open as shown in Figure 23.

       The tests corresponding to that subject will populate the test combo box. Select the desired test as shown in Figure 24.

       When the desired test is selected, click the “Test” button to open that test. This is shown in Figure 25.

       The test window will be displayed as shown in Figure 26. Click the “Ready” button to start the test with the default test settings.

       The test will start by showing a picture of the test to the left and any additional information in the upper right. Depending on the test settings the answer can be entered in either by multiple choice or fill in the blank. An example of multiple choice is shown in Figure 27.

       An example of a test using fill in the blank is shown in Figure 28.

To change the setting for a test click the “Test Setup” button before the test is started as shown in Figure 29.

       In the test settings many options are available to customize the test. Tests can ask up to three different questions.  Select the desired question to be tested. You can also select the test to be either multiple choice or fill in the blank.

 

To exclude groups from a test make sure the group is unchecked and the “Exclude Unchecked” button is selected. The user can also select only the groups to include and have the “Include Checked” button selected.

 

Click “Reset Stats Before Next Test” to reset the statistics so that all of the questions in a test will have a better chance to be tested again.

 

Use the slider to change the amount of time to show the correct answer versus the wrong answer that was entered. When the desired test settings are configured click “Done” as shown in Figure 30.

To view the statistics that are kept when tests are taken, select the “Test Statistics” from the Tools menu as shown below in Figure 31.

To view the statistics with the ratings as a bar chart select the Display Bar Chart with Ratings option. You will also need to select the question tested under the desired test. The higher the rating the longer it took the user to complete the question. The rating also gets and added penalty if the answer was incorrect. The statistics will be shown to the right as shown in Figure 32 .

To get the items that were answered wrong select the “Display What was Entered Wrong” and select the question under the desired test. The information will be shown to the right as displayed below in Figure 33 .

To view each test time and the average rating, select the Display Rating Per Time Tested option as shown in Figure 34 . An additional penalty is added when the question is answered incorrectly. Those times are shown in red.

There is an option in the software to obtain more tests by clicking the Purchase Tests menu item as shown in Figure 35.

       The Purchase Tests window is shown with the subject folders in the center. Click the plus sign next to the subject to see the available tests. This is depicted below in Figure 36.

Select a test to see the description, cover and an example picture. These are displayed to the right as shown in Figure 37. When the test is selected click “Add To Cart” to add the test to your shopping cart. The test will change colors based on its status. These colors are described below.

·        Green – These are tests that you have downloaded in the past.

·        Blue – These are new tests that you have not seen before.

·        Yellow – These are tests that are currently in your shopping cart.

·        Black – These are tests that are available, but they are not new.

       Enter your information to the left. You have the option to save this information on your computer. This allows for easier purchasing the next time by not needing to enter the information again. The credit card information is not saved on your computer. The transaction is sent using a secure connection so that your information stays safe. When your information is entered and the tests you want are in your shopping cart, click purchase as shown in Figure 38.
