Objective
The objective of this test is to learn the different element abbreviations. You will also learn how to spell the elements.

Secondary objective is to learn what type of element each element is. The abbreviated electron configuration can also be tested. Additional information on the element's uses can also be seen.
Testing Suggestions
To learn the element abbreviations, first narrow down the amount of elements being tested by clicking on the test setup button and excluding periods 4-7 (More if you want). Select multiple choice for the answer type.

After the desired settings are selected click the done button. The test will now only test periods 1-3. Click ready to start the test. When you are testing with the multiple choice as the answer type, this test will be quite easy. Most element abbreviations are taken from the name of the element. Take this opportunity to study the spelling of the element so that when you switch to fill in the blank, you will have a better chance at spelling the element correctly.

When you have those elements memorized click the test settings again and add another period by reselecting the corresponding checkbox. Click done and test again. Continue this until all of the elements are tested using multiple choice as the answer type.

Now enter the test settings and change the answer type to fill in the blank. You can exclude some of the periods again to help split up the number of elements studied at one time.

When you know how to spell those elements corresponding to the abbreviations, continue to add the elements that you excluded until all the elements are being tested.

Congratulations you now know the abbreviations to the periodic table and how to spell the elements.

If it is desired you can now change the question to either the electron configuration or element type and start the studying again.

We hope you enjoyed learning about the periodic table.
